Welcome to the Kuemmel Lab!
We are moving to the Institute of Biochemistry at the WWU Münster in early 2018. - We have an open position for a post-doc!
In our Emmy Noether junior research group, we are interested in the coordination, regulation and crosstalk between intracellular transport and signal transduction.
Our focus is on the structural investigation of proteins involved in these processes. We combine x-ray crystallography with biophysical and biochemical methods to visualize the structure of proteins on an atomic level and explain their function.
Furthermore, a detailed understanding of protein structure allows us to investigate the role of these proteins under physiological and pathological conditions.
Daniel Kümmel has accepted a position at the Institute of Biochemistry, WWU Münster, Dept. of Chemistry and Pharmacy starting in fall 2017. The lab will move in early 2018.
Congratulations Dr. Reinhard Zech!
Nature Communications has accepted "Architecture and mechanism of the late endosomal Rab7-like Ypt7 guanine nucleotide exchange factor complex Mon1-Ccz1" by Stephan.
Reinhard's paper on the structure of the TSC2 N-terminus is accepted at the Journal of Biological Chemistry!
